The Weekly Story ~ wk 24

Let me tell you a little secret... when I have some time to myself... I often love to browse through Dubizzle.. and look through the furniture on sale...

Not because I really need to buy anything... or require something at home... but just to browse around... and sometimes Im amazed by people's ideas... and the passion with which they decorate their homes...

And here are a few examples ... my weekend finds on dubizzle...

This could be an easy DIY... totally amazed by the idea.. They've used it as a space to keep their home theater system.... but you could even use this as a center table... or a garden accessory.. Impressive!! isnt it?

Look at this home... such a burst of happy colours... Do you have a bold sofa? Send me some pics

I love how an ordinary sofa bed from IKEA has transformed so beautifully in thier home.. with a burst of colour...

Now.. that wall paper is gorgeous.. isnt it?

I also found this buddha head for sale...

And these handpainted boxes.. Lovely.. isnt it?

Wall makeover ~ Kwikdeko

Do you remember my post on Kwikdeko .. This is how Sumathi from Bangalore changed the look of her entire room with Kwikdeko

Here is what she says about herself..

“In the IT field  for past 16 years and like all working moms juggling between home and work…Have a great passion towards interior décor and gardening.

Best thing that I liked about the wall decals is that’s so easy and no drilling/nailing required. It’s very cost-effective too

and shes also got a DIY featured at Woodooz for a photoframe wall... Have a look!!

So if you want a simple, yet quick makeover... Hop over to Kwikdeko... Don't forget to send me some pictures..

a dreamy living room

and now.. moving onwards to the living room... of Pooja's home... *smiles*

Living room is divided into 2 parts the sitting area facing the mountains and the dinning area. I was a little adamant about the fact that this area shouldn’t be polluted by noise movies or any distraction so after a lot of coxing my husband we decided to stay in nature and ban the cable connection. Main feature of the area is the predominating red wall, which has number of inspirational frames of different sizes. All the frames have life realizations but in a sweet and a funny way nothing heart hitting or heavy.to make it more authentic we added a Turkish lamp above the diwan.

*sigh*.. now doesn't that look dreamy...

and these are the lights to go upstairs...

Do you want to go upstairs?? Do you? That'll be next week then... *smiles*
