My Home, My Haven - Suganya, Arun & Eshaan

Today... I'm taking you to Texas... Lets all go visit Suganya, Arun & Eshaan at their home in Sugar Land, Texas...

I am a stay-at-home mom living in Sugar Land, Texas. We are a content family of three - my husband Arun and my son Eshaan are the one and a half men in my life. Time flies for a homemaker too, but when I decide to take time off to indulge, I let my creativity take over. I enjoy making Tanjore art. My conquests in art transcend beyond canvas and I paint on Glass as well.

I believe in Van Day Truex's quote - "Interiors speak! Homes emphasize whether one exists or lives, and there is a great difference between the two! "

Our home is built on memories, decorated with memorabilia carefully picked from all over the world, and warmly welcomes friends and family to add more such memories. Every piece of furnishing, every showpiece and every item has its own story to tell. Our home is part of our family, as it portrays our faith in God, reflects our joyous moments with family and friends and vivid instances from our travel, besides our never-ending admiration for all art forms. It is our personal sanctuary - a place to recharge our spirits - a place where we can enjoy quality time.

The Chinese aesthetic form of Feng Shui brings order and discipline to our home. We believe in the fundamental philosophy of this Chinese school of thought that a clutter-free organized life holds the key to harmonious living. It also brings a sense of flow and balance to our home.

The Feng Shui simplicity combined with contemporary Indian decor brings an elegance that sometimes even the most finest of furnishings cannot impart. The decor is even more personalized as many of the corners and walls are celebrated by my own works of art created over the years.

This is a wall in Eshaan's room.. with picture frames from all over the world.. Isn't it so so creative!!
Welcome to Suganya's family room... Can you spot the cozy breakfast area in the background...
Take another look into their family room..
What a lovely way to display gifts from family & friends...
The above view is of the hallway... leading straight into the Family room... Papyrus framed, Japanese art on the piano... Wall art collections from Dubai & Abu Dhabi....
Take another look of the hallway.. and the stairways...
Their master bedroom.... I so love the calm green shades in this room... When Suganya wants a change... she changes the sheets for some additional colour... and then goes ahead to match it with paper from the craft store... matting all the picture frames in the room.. They match up perfectly.. and she gets a change of colour!! What a brilliant idea!!
The wall display contains paintings from Rome, Amsterdam and Paris.. a few of their favourite vacation spots...
The above image is of the Guest bedroom... The Ganesha on the wall is acrylic on glass with some glitter sheets displayed from behind... made by Suganya.. herself!! *smiles*
Yay!! A game room!! A relaxing leisure time room where their family spends time listening to music, playing games.. and watching movies...
So.... what do you think?? Do you like the new home tour series called 'My Home, My Haven'.... Do you want to share pictures of your home... email me on torresp27@hotmail.com
