A blog addict (mommy blogs, crafty blogs, decor blogs) which are inspiration for the bits of stuff I have done in my home!!

These shelves are from Fab India. The minute I saw them, I knew I wanted them. These are the only ones hubby & I agreed to pick up immediately.... without any arguments!! I love the way, they hold the bits and bobs of whatever little I have collected and like to show off...

And Swapna... I love the wall clock in the back ground.. Your home is lovely.. thank you for being part of Colours Dekor...

You saw the painted wall last week... Teal in my bedroom... *smiles* !! We've painted one wall teal... Now.. I simply can't decide what colour would blend in with my teal wall... for furnishing, accessories and maybe some additional work on the wall..

So what colour do you like...

Another stunning shelf space!! Joining us today is Priya of Once Upon A Tea Time ~ ~

Here is what she has to say ~

The shelf has all my favourite things - books, magazines, favourite prints, Ikat, etc and I wanted to try my hand at styling a bookshelf so as to make it appealing to the eye.... I sure hope that's what I've done!!

And what do you think about our Shelf Stories...

.... so you've seen how the entrance looks... and you've seen how it looks as soon as I open the door for you...

Now I'm showing you my priced possession!! *smiles*

My hubby (and I)... love music.... He loves to collect CDs... only problem is.. I never had a good storage space.. Yes!! the modern CD racks... don't turn me on.. *grins*... I'd stop hubby from buying CDs... If he went to the counter with 10... I'd coax him into buying one... *smiles* .. He is nice like that..!! on the rare occassions..!! *smiles*

And when I saw this gorgeous piece... at Pinkys... I simply had to bring it home... *sigh*

The Pinky's dude even put a few extra shelves for me... which helped me convert this into a CD rack... I got it home.. without even thinking of where to place it... Then one weekend.. we shuffled... re-arranged... re-organised.... literally moved everything around... to make a home for this.. It someone didn't fit in the main living room.... *sigh*

So now.. I have it.. right at the entrance of the house... Yes!! As soon as you walk in... People often wonder why I have such a gorgeous shoe rack... but I don't keep shoes at the entrance of my home.. I simply cant do that!!

So do you like my new favourite ??? What if there were peacocks on it.. instead of horses.. *sigh*.. Now I'm asking for too much... *smiles*

You've seen Nirmala and Krupanandh’s home in Bangalore in 'a thousand words'.... now they join us with Shelf Stories. Nirmala has been a teacher and has always been a booklover. A kind of booklover that ensured a space in her lovely home was dedicated for a comfortable and relaxing book-time whenever she needed to. The fact that she shares this space with a puja area and a serene buddhascape only shows the love and respect she has for books and reading.

Charitha shares pictures of her shelves at her beautiful home in Atlanta… Shadow boxes and a book shelf fit well in her son’s room to hold his most favourite toys from his overflowing collection…and he’s an avid reader too…

She is a passionate cook and her kitchen is mostly always well stocked…and here is just one of those shelves up for your peek I totally love the shelves below... that sure looks like a home... books, toys, board games... and lots of love... And here’s a shelf that houses her collection of Buddhas and Ganapati…

Do you remember seeing Lesley's creative balcony.... where he hand painted this Buddha!! Yes! Hand painted.. Its not a sticker... its all hand painted!!

Now I'm showing you his creative Bird house... There are his little pets...

And this is their home.... they are never caged... which is simply awesome!! *smiles*

This is an old lantern... which I nearly threw away.. .... Yes.. I did!! And Lee took it from me... and converted it into.. their cage.... precious!! isn't it??

The Weekly Story ~ wk 45

Another Monday!! Yes!! Its Monday again.... *smiles* Time for you to link in with your weekly posts ... Can't wait to see what you have in store this week... Here.. is what I did over the weekend... ~ My brother at work... painting my bedroom teal. Was thinking of painting something peacock-ish.. in the room.. Have not decided as yet... So this remains work in progress ... Room 2 - my mom - dad's room was painted a lovely green... This is work in progress for the week after... As I have no clue what else is going on this wall.. or how else I'm going to revamp it.. Do you have any ideas??
