Saying that, you get black out, transparent and translucent blinds these days. I like light coming straight into my room… all day long!!
I think that older homes with high ceilings, are antique and period furniture would do much better with heavy drapers.
I’m missing you all and your lovely blogs and inspirations posts. Time is not on my side these days, hence I haven’t checked your blogs. I’m going to be horribly busy till about the first week of August.. and only quick posts on blogger till then… I’ll check all the old posts of my favourite blogs soon… Soon !! I promise!…
The décor in the space some times decides the choice between blinds or curtains. In my kids room, the old butterfly blinds or the new flower blinds just look perfect.
I simply love this print, in my mom & dads room. My quick pictures do not do much justice to it…. I am amazed by the different prints, patterns & colours blinds provide. In Dubai – Serial also make custom made blinds – print of your choice.
I am a (Roman) Blinds person...love your kitchen blinds ... :)
ReplyDeleteNot a big fan of the plastic blinds...however, they are a necessary evil in this part of the world. I hang drapes in front of them...that way I can just hide them away. But having said this.. how beautiful were the bamboo "chiks" back home??? the original blinds, and eco-friendly too! My mom still has those all over the house...nothing like them to beat the summer heat!
ReplyDeleteNice post Patty !!..Loved your kitchen and the kids room...:)
ReplyDeleteSomehow, I too have a mental block against blinds...but after seeing th epics on your post, i gotto change my mind. I like the idea of getting customized blinds.
ReplyDeleteBlinds are easy to clean up too, if the walls next to the plain blind are empty, you can think of painting a mural full length:-)I loved your blinds, all of them!
ReplyDeleteLoved all the blinds from your home....I too have put them in one of my room will definitely share them with you..

ReplyDeleteSuch yummy colors! I seem to forget that dressing up windows is full of possibility! Sorry you are so busy, Patty. I hope things calm down a bit soon!
ReplyDeleteI think i favor the curtains too! But a friend actually got some customized fabric blinds...they were awesome...it was actually a compromise between the husband n wife..husband loved the blinds n the wife was in love with curtains :)
ReplyDeleteThese are SO CUTE! And I LOVE floral fabric - gorgeous. I'm bookmarking this for future reference! You're awesome!
ReplyDeleteWhat is also interesting that this is a problem where simple attention, exposure, got it to disappear. Where the old "power of the pen" becomes reaffirmed in the internet age.
ReplyDeleteThe blog was absolutely fantastic! Lot of great information which can be helpful in some or the other way. thanks for sharing..
