MAHALO 2010!!!! and ALOHA 2011!!!! ~ ~ Shanthi

Hello to all you dear ones out there, New year with new dreams, new resolutions , new goals, lesson learnt, exciting isn’t it. Hope you all had a wonderful time bidding goodbye to 2010 and welcoming 2011 while I was busy travelling all these days I need to thank 2010 in a proper way. The biggest thing that happened in 2010 – GUESS ? I got to know you all and I am so sooo delighted the way you all embraced me like one in ur family. A big Huuuuuuuuuuuuuug to all of you. OMG!!!! What have you gals done to me, now I cannot imagine my life without you. At home front – In 2009 Dec when my astrology forecast predicted great travels in 2010 I kind of laughed it off . But the stars do kind of play their role. Each of my trip deserves its own blog post so for now I will give u a pictorial sneak peak. April – Rome June – Paris – Notterdam church from the river Seine. Oh I can’t wait to tell you about the beautiful evenings by the river and the romantic dinner cruise and ofcourse an evening at Moulin Rouge – the magnificient Chateau de Versailles and one of its many beautiful musical fountains 5 – Eiffel tower from our hotel room. July / August – India We escorted my daughter and her friends on their big dream trip to India. All these girls alongside their studies worked part time the whole year to save money for this trip – Last day of her school ceremony –on arrival in Delhi airport - at tajmahal – mehendi rang layegi – in the village with my father – in-law – on a houseboat in kerala and then they proceeded to Maldives for 5 days. August – Trip to Bergen – Shreya my daughter moved 500 km away from home to pursue her studies in Economics and Business Management. – The brother and sister duo setting up her hostel room in the univ It was hard for us to accept it, more so for Sekhar ( my hubby) - who still stands in front of her closed room whenever he walks past it. Daughter’s are always pappa’s isn’t it. All of you with kids at home enjoy them while they still have all their time for you. Thank god Sankalp my son will not leave home till another 4 to 5 years. September – Prague I and my Son followed my husband to Prague on his official trip. A beautiful beautiful medieval city and one feels at home and in control immediately. Added to all its charm the Czech crystal is brilliantly shining everywhere. It is the best city for a girls trip – Is anyone game for it ? J. My bags are always packed for Prague. Charles Bridge a photo from the Unesco world heritage sites list the castle by night November – My latest visit to India click here Dec – Winding up the year in paradise called Hawai’i was just about the right thing we did to unwind ourselves and get charged for the challenges and joys of 2011. The best part being our daughter was with us all for ourselves the whole 2 weeks J. The azure blues of the pacific – swimming, surfing, snorkeling, whale and dolphin watching – name anything they have it. We snorkeled at this beautiful Molikini bay and it was just out of the world. Picture sourced from mauiguidebook.com the black sand beaches and the rich aroma of the Polynesian culture all around. When in Hawaii a visit to the Polynesian culture centre is a MUST!!! All in all 2010 has been a good year for our small family and we are looking forward to 2011 with renewed vigor and vitality. Wish you all a very happy New Year and hope it brings your way all that you wish for. All my posts I realize are so much picture intensive – what to do I have so much to show u all J. Teach me if there is any other way I should do this. ~~ Shanthi
