Dékor Itch ??

Are you like me?? Do you feel the dekor itch at times?? I’m in a constant mood to do something new at home. Don’t get me wrong… its not that I have all the time in the world. With a full time (rather demanding job!!), and two even more demanding kids, any change to my home needs a lot of thought and organization.

Anyway… over the years, I’ve collected accessories – from different colored curtains, cushion covers, to side tables that can be dismantled or pretty pieces for different corners of my home the get arranged and rearranged…

Here is how I changed my home to turquoise & purple one weekend…

So what do you do when you feel the dekor itch?

Superb & Minimalistic

Architects Ashutosh Wad & Manjunath Hathwar design a superb, minimalistic home. Beige & brown compliment each other. the minimal furniture – a simple sofa arrangement and a stark rectangular dining table & chairs complete the look. Earthen pot with dry sticks forms a décor element.
The wood panelled wall houses the television. The vertical wooden pergola next to the wash area not only increases the space but separates the area.
The silk curtains lend a rich feel in the master bedroom. Don’t miss the silk (royal roman style) blinds.
Here the low bed gives a sense of space to this extremely small room, continuing the cream & beige colour scheme.
This is one of my favourite inspirations, taken from the issue of New Woman Aug 1997
