...House Tour part 2 ~ Anu...

Hello everyone! It was a couple of weeks ago, when I took you on a quick tour of a portion of my home, (here)...so lets continue the tour today with...
...portion of the loft with the laundry room... . ....I have put up 2 Madhubani's that I have painted with vegetable dyes and had my dear framewalla give a cloth mat. I also have an ironing stand hidden in a wall shelf. This is so useful, in the mornings, when you are in a hurry... ...another Madhubani to complement the one inside...... ...what you see on the wall is a Lithograph of the Sagrada Familia church, Barcelona... ...Guest Bedroom,...the only one that has some blue in it...I am not a blue person when it comes to decor...The water paintings are from an artist in Mumbai picked up outside the Jehangir Art gallery, and the blue abstract is a sceane from Majorca... Guest Bedoom...with some of my paintings put up,...the 3 small ones are knife paintings...absolute abstracts...yes 2011 is a year of abstracts and very very different from my previous ones that you will find here. The paintings are some fleeting images of the Parsian countryside, that I had seen from a train window while travelling from Paris to London. The Buddha painting is a mixed media reproduction of the Ajanta & Ellora frescoes. My friend Shruthi had given me a calendar of these frescoes,..the yellow abstract is from an artist from Majorca.... ...Guest Restroom... ...A Warli painting... the painting is also another of my mixed media work with conework and glass mirrors... ...hope you liked the pictures...Adios until next week

  1. wow!! Very pretty :)
can you share a post on how you made the warli , kerala mural & madhubani paintings. I am running a Artsy-Craftsy challenge at my blog and the theme for this month is introducing Folk arts to kids. It would be my pleasure to feature your art there.
